How much does a wedding photographer cost in Indianapolis? (2026 guide)

It’s the first question almost every couple asks me, and it’s a fair one. Wedding photography is one of the bigger lines in your budget, and prices online can feel all over the place. So here’s the straight answer for 2026, using my own prices instead of vague ranges.
The short answer
My wedding photography starts at $1,999, and my wedding films start at $3,999. Most couples who want both photos and film land around $6,000 for my entry-level pairing, and more for full-day, multi-photographer coverage. You can see every collection side by side on my packages page.
Across Indianapolis you’ll find photographers well below and well above those numbers. A lower price usually means fewer hours, one shooter, or less editing. A higher price usually buys more coverage, more people on the team, and faster or bigger deliverables. What matters is knowing exactly what you’re getting for the money.
My 2026 photography collections
| Collection | Starting at | What’s included |
|---|---|---|
| Silver | $1,999 | 6 hours of coverage, me as lead photographer, ceremony and reception, 2 signature layered portraits, full-resolution images, print release, private online gallery, consultation |
| Gold (most popular) | $3,499 | Everything in Silver, plus full-day coverage, a second photographer, an engagement session, 6 signature portraits and priority booking |
| Platinum | $5,000 | Everything in Gold, plus multiple photographers, same-day image delivery, 12 signature portraits, prints, every raw image, a photo booth, a privacy guarantee and VIP planning |

My 2026 wedding film collections
| Collection | Starting at | What’s included |
|---|---|---|
| Classic | $3,999 | A 1-hour edited wedding video, a 2-minute cinematic highlight reel and licensed music |
| Premier (most popular) | $4,999 | Everything in Classic, plus a 2–3 hour full film, teaser and trailer, a couple interview, drone footage and social media content |
| Elite | $6,000 | Everything in Premier, plus 4 videographers, a next-day trailer, the full film in under 12 days, extended drone footage and a raw footage archive |
If you want photography and film together, ask me about a custom bundle. Having one team for both means the photo and video crews already know each other, plan together, and stay out of each other’s shots.
What actually changes the price
1. Hours of coverage
Six hours covers a lot of weddings: getting ready, the ceremony, portraits and the main reception moments. But if your day starts with hair and makeup at 9 AM and your send-off is at 11 PM, six hours won’t reach both ends. That’s the main reason couples move up to full-day coverage in Gold.
2. How many people are on the team
A second photographer means two angles of your vows, the groom getting ready while I’m with the bride, and candid guest coverage during portraits. For big guest counts, I strongly recommend it. One person can’t be in two rooms at once.
3. Multi-day and traditional celebrations
Many of the weddings I cover are Congolese and African celebrations with a traditional ceremony and a white wedding, sometimes on different days. Each day is its own coverage, so it’s quoted that way. I wrote a separate guide on what to expect at Congolese and African weddings if that’s you.
4. Travel
I’m based on the west side of Indianapolis, and I’ve photographed and filmed more than 50 weddings across 28 states. Weddings outside Indianapolis include travel, which I quote separately and openly so you can see it, not buried inside the package.
5. Film on top of photos
Film takes more people, more gear and far more editing time than photography, which is why it starts higher. A highlight reel is the piece most couples rewatch. The full film is the one your family will want in twenty years.

How I’d budget, depending on your day
- Smaller wedding, ceremony and reception in one place, photos only: Silver usually fits.
- Full day with getting ready, a big wedding party and 150+ guests: Gold, because of the full day and second photographer.
- You want the images fast, or you want every raw file: Platinum is the only collection with same-day image delivery and every raw image.
- You want a film you’ll rewatch every anniversary: pair a photography collection with Classic or Premier.
Every collection is a starting price. Your final quote depends on your date, hours, location and what you add, and I’ll walk you through it on a short call before you commit to anything.
What you should get from any photographer, at any price
Whether or not you book me, make sure your photographer gives you a signed agreement, a clear delivery timeline, full-resolution images, and a print release so you can actually print your photos. Ask to see one or two complete wedding galleries, not just highlights. Anyone can post their best ten images. A full gallery shows you how they handle the dim reception hall and the family photos too.

How booking works with me
- Send me your date, location and what you’re picturing through the inquiry form.
- Book a short consultation call and we’ll pick the right collection.
- Sign the agreement and place your retainer to reserve your date.
- Enjoy your day. Your gallery and film are delivered afterward.
Popular Saturdays go first, so if you already have a date, it’s worth checking it now. You can also call or text me at 317-551-4192.
